An incredibly easy and practical effect based on the classic ‘Clip Line’ or ‘Newspaper Prediction’ trick.
Each Clipped Prediction set includes 25 strips of paper. Each strip has TWO usable sides, allowing for TWO distinct predictions.
Holding a long strip of newspaper, the magician moves a pair of scissors up and down waiting for the spectator to call ‘stop’. Once they do, the piece of paper is cut at this exact chosen position. A prediction is then shown matching both the TOP and BOTTOM lines of the newspaper strip at the point it was cut into two.
This is as organic and fair as it gets! Everything is examinable!
In the past, you’d need to either create, print and cut your own lists (a tedious task), change your prediction every time based on the newspaper you had available or search for multiple copies of a specific newspaper article (a task that grows more difficult with each passing year).
