This is a “secret gimmick” – your audience is not even aware it exists. What it enables you to do is to produce a playing card, – any of the 52 in a deck you want, in an instant. It’s application to card magic or mental effects are many and varied.
The following are a couple of typical effects you can perform with these gimmicks.
A deck of cards is examined, and shuffled. You riffle through the deck, to memorise the order in an instant. The deck is cut in half, and the two halves placed in your left and right jacket pockets. The spectators now call out cards, – any card they choose, at random. You reach into your pocket, and instantly retrieve the named card, – again and again, as often as you wish. An amazing ‘memory feat’ you claim, as impressive as any magic trick !
Or use it for a mental effect. A spectator merely thinks of and names any card in the deck. You pick up your wallet, which has been lying on the table, open it, and extract a face down playing card from it, handing the wallet to a spectator to check it has no extra cards concealed. The card is then turned over – it is the very one the spectator named, – the one you had placed in the wallet based on a premonition you had about this incident. If this reads like strong magic, – that’s exactly what it is.
Performers familiar with the Q5 Pocket index devised by Patrick Page will know what to expect. The “PLUS” features of our model comprise of a much sturdier construction, from durable plastic film, instead of ordinary board, and an expanding spine feature that makes these more convenient to work with. You get the outfit, complete with instructions and ideas for use. You put in a couple of hours of handling practice, and you have a fountain of miracles in your pockets.
If you know what it is, and what it can do, get it. If you don’t – we’ll preserve the secret
